There are all types of tables, each with different utilities, sizes and shapes. Although this piece of furniture is primarily part of the domestic furniture, its use has also developed in the professional world. They can be made of wood, glass, plastic, etc.
A history of tables
The first Tables date back to antiquity with the Egyptians using stone platforms to lay objects elsewhere than on the ground. These first tables were not made to sit around and they didn't eat on either.
The Chinese also created this type of furniture at an early age so that they could practice drawing and writing. The Greeks and Romans began to use the tables to eat. These were made of marble, wood or metal (usually bronze).
In the Middle Ages, the tables were only long planks placed on trestles and were stored as soon as the banquet was finished.
It was not until the Renaissance that the table became a fixed piece of furniture. With the advent of the dining room in the 18th century, the table is accompanied by chairs.
Since then, its use has continued to spread and its design has been simplified with industrialization and chain production.
A famous table...
This piece of furniture that has passed through the centuries counts among its copies some celebrities who have marked their time. Take one of the best known and recognized, the King Arthur Roundtable. We do not know exactly what it looked like since its history is based on a legend that has passed through time and eras, and by becoming the symbol it is today, the legend around this table has been enriched by many stories and variations.
The first mention of the Roundtable was in a British history book in 1155 and said that Arthur had created the table to eliminate any possibility of conflict between his lords, for none of them would have accepted a less good place than another, a problem solved through the round table. Another source mentions a table around which 16 men could stand.
The most well-known legend says that the table was created in the image of the table of Christ's last meal. It would therefore have 12 seats and a 13th left empty (symbolizing the treachery of Judah) which would be occupied only by the knight who would find the Grail.
So much for the legend, however in the Middle Ages it is established that the round table became a symbol of knights and their values all over Europe. There is still an object suspected of being King Arthur's round table. The tray of a table 5.5m in diameter that stands on the wall of Winchester Castle in Hampshire, England. Doubts remain...

Let's start with the wooden tables. The best way to clean them are the microfiber rags that will leave no trace. If the stains are too stubborn, rub the wood with hot water, black soap and a sponge.
The glass tables, for their part, are very afraid of scratches! to clean them of water and dishwashing liquid on a sponge are enough, but be careful not to use the abrasive side of the sponge! You can also clean it with white vinegar if you don't expose your table to the sun.
For a concrete table, hot water and a sponge do the trick. Be careful, however, not to cook directly on your concrete table because its porosity will absorb the oil very easily and leave beautiful tasks.
Wrought iron tables fear rust above all else. To clean them, marseille soap and water, be careful to dry immediately.
Finally, ceramic tables are the ones that require the least maintenance and will be as new with a simple shot of sponge with soapy water.
However, to have tables in good condition for as long as possible, the best solution is to protect it with a tablecloth.
After a few tips, you're spoilt for choice! However, rely on quality, Table is a piece of furniture that you use a lot and can quickly get damaged if you don't take care of it!
